Covid-19 Texas cases spike following George Floyd funeral
by FatFreek 2005 inon tuesday, the george floyd funeral took place.. "on wednesday, texas reported its highest single-day increase in diagnoses since the start of the pandemic, with 2,504 new cases, more than twice as many reported the previous day.
" source, newsweek.com.
just my unprofessional take -- some 30 to 40 percent of attendees did not wear masks.. check for yourself, snippets of video footage, george floyd funeral..

I refuse to wear a damned mask the rest of my life. This isn't China or some other third-world ----hole!
Yeah, everybody knows that only people in China and shithole countries need to protect themselves from diseases. People in civilized countries do not need any such protection! After all, whenever a virus or other disease causing thingy enters a civilized country, it will properly announce itself at the border. If permitted entry, it will ask potential hosts for permission to enter their body. No protection needed, because only stupid people in shithole countries protect themselves from disease....right?
Fun fact: when people in Asia wear face masks, the main reason is to protect the people around them, not themselves.

More on SARS-CoV-2
by TD inbelow is a link to a peer reviewed paper by virologists and vaccine experts birger sørensen and angus dalgleish.
according to the study, which was published in the quarterly review of biophysics, the coronavirus’s spike protein contains sequences that appear to be artificially inserted.
to my knowledge, this is the first solid piece of evidence that this pandemic may have been man-made.. (emphasis on "may" --i'm sure this is not the last word on the subject).

@Hairtrigger,
I appreciate you having the honesty to withdraw your mistaken comment.
General hint: if any message is received with a request to forward it to as many people as possible, it's likely useless or not true. It should be standard operating procedure for everyone to first verify of the information is true or not before forwarding/reposting.

Black Lives Matter—Do You Agree With Their Philosophy?
by minimus ini agree with people who say all lives matter.
i think blm is a racist group.
if white people pushed an agenda saying white lives matter, some people would have a conniption..

There is a way to solve it. Eliminate or drastically reduce your encounters with the police. How? Don’t break the law
Could it be that non-white people have a higher chance to be approached by police, whether or not they are law-abiding?
Could it be that more frequent run ins with police isn't just a matter of being law-abiding, but also (partly) by reason of racial bias?
https://openpolicing.stanford.edu/findings/
Could it be that if upstanding citizen Johnny White is stopped for nothing once, he is slightly annoyed, while upstanding citizen Johnny Brown, who is stopped for nothing for the 10th time this year may be slightly more likely to let the officer know he's really pissed off, and antagonize the officer with his words?
And without regards to race: do people who commit minor crimes deserve to die for that? Why do police on the USA kill so many people when compared to other Western countries? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_killings_by_law_enforcement_officers_by_country
Might it be possible there are some systemic issues beyond "well they shouldn't break the law if they don't want to be killed by police"?

Gorby has to admit
by Gorbatchov infor the first time in my life, i have to admit that the world is rapidly deteriorating.
first i saw a decline in democracy worldwide.
elections were a tough battle every time, unfair too.

Imho things change in the same ways they always have.
I remember the violent riots in France in 2005. They were a sure sign of the wickedness of man, of the 'criticial times' we live in. Surely these riots would spread to neighboring countries and likely lead to civil war? Yet here we are, alive and kicking.
The USA has seen many, many big riots in the past. Some of these race 'riots' more appeared to be localized civil war.
The apparent rise of democratically elected leaders who try to make themselves into dictators is worrying, especially because it happens in the most powerful countries too. Otoh, it's the people of these countries that allow such leaders to be elected and stay in power.
Pandemics have swept earth many times. We've been able to eradicate or control many common diseases. The current pandemic shows how much we've progressed in combatting disease....but we're still mortal and will stay that way.
What I find most troubling are the yet unseen future effects of climate change and their impact on humanity.
With a (somewhat) visible enemy like covid19 most people and governements are able to take swift and decisive actions, even when the economy take very hard hits. With climate change we seem incapable of taking similar far-going measures, simply because we can't imagine what will happen in 10 years if we don't act now.

I checked the cast on IMDb. It mentioned Charles Sinutko, a name that rang a bell somewhere. His life story was in the mags some time ago: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102004607
Fun fact: he used to be a singer and a actor before he went to become a hot shot JW.

Bias in News
by Simon inyou can't escape bias in the news media, so making it visible is the next best thing.. just came across this site which aims to label the news stories to show who is covering it.
you can see how some stories are only covered by one side which shows either their bias, or the bias of the other side from not covering it.. well worth checking out:.

To add: I do think medicine use in the USA is on ridiculous levels. Medicine usage is pushed by the monetary incentive that comes with an entirely for-profit health care system without too much regulation....
